Pros and cons of GPSnote app for iPhone and iPad

GPSnote app good for

The guy just added the only item that I was missing from this app, so I changed my rating from 3 to 5. The following was changed, you can now add locations manually. ------- the following is not true anymore -------- It is cool, but could be much cooler and useful if it allowed the user to add their own pins manually. I went on a trip, but i did not open the ipad everywhere Ive been. It could be useful to add the locations manually after the fact.
This is great for anyone planning a road trip. No the missing star is not for auto routing function (I have a gps for that). The missing star is for a lack of a search function to pull in addresses for sites that you might want to go check out. When you are planning a road trip you end up coming up with all these great locations and ideas of things you would like to see. This app is great because you can drop a pins at all these locations, but you have to know where abouts these locations are on the map. It would be awesome if you could search a location and have that address transferred to your map. It would be great to integrate with 411, your address book, or google maps. As you are traveling around you open up your iPad and presto all the locations you are interested in have pin marks on them and you can see how close you are. Another click and your address book contacts populate the map and the notes has there name autofilled in it. I would gladly pay the money that I did for the routes app to you if it had this function. This app is so close to what I was describing to a collegue just last week
I needed something almost exactly like this, a way to keep track of where Ive been and where I want to go. I like that it can find such specific addresses, though it doesnt have all the addresses Google Maps has. The manual add somewhat makes up for that. I would really like it if there was more than one colour of pins. Also, push notifications interrupt your searches an you have to type it all over again. The pins are a little too easy to delete on the map. Other than that, its great.
Great app. Perfect for noting where youve been. However, when search results arent found, popup says "not location found" instead of location not found. Please fix spelling error. It makes you look stupid.
really good app, I use it for my appointments, you can have pins all over the city labelled. Would give it 5 stars if you could have different colored pins. But still extremely useful and I use it every day
Really good app: uses Apple Maps mapping but allows the display of multiple pins at a time, something Apple Maps appears unable to do. Id give it an extra star for multiple colors or for allowing the display of multiple notes at a time.

Some bad moments

App crashes on open. Unable to access tool. Went to help site and could not follow or have the time to try to register a problem looking for support. Very disappointed - was a great app.
Keep getting low memory warnings even after rebooting the device.
Never received a low memory on my iPad before I installed this. Apple, what were you thinking approving this CrapApp?
This could be very useful. However it only lets you record where you are now. I couldnt find a way to put a pin somewhere else. It would be neat to plot out a course and have notes for each point etc. And it would be cool to be able to handwrite notes.
Since i installed this app, Google maps seems damaged. Barely functions now. So i removed the app, yet problem remains. Coincidence? I dont know. Proceed w caution.
Every time you launch the app, or any time you return from your list of bookmarks back to the app, it zooms itself back out to about 500 miles across -- even if you zoomed in before. You have to zoom in EVERY time to get a usable view. I posted this on the developers suggestion forum, and the developer immediately told me that I was incorrect, and that the map doesnt zoom out on its own. Ok, I guess Im just hallucinating then... Nice way to interact with your customers, guys.
